Known as the Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach has been a favorite destination for sun-worshippers for decades. The beaches attract over 14 million visitors annually and pump nearly seven billion dollars into the local economy each year.
Attorney Brian Kernaghan helped open our Myrtle Beach office in 1998. Since that time, the office and area have expanded. In 2008, Franklin Daniels joined the office as its Managing Partner and the firm moved into new space at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Over the past five years, the office has grown to seven attorneys, four of which practice both in the Myrtle Beach and Charleston office.
Nexsen Pruet was one of the first businesses to move into the 45,000 square foot office building, in The Market Common which sits on property that used to be the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. When South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford attended the ribbon cutting to the new development in April, 2008, he called it “a $600 million stake in the ground in improving the tourism infrastructure in the state.” Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes has also praised the location saying it is “one of the most pristine developments in this state in a long time.”
